Volleyball Recap: Shoreland Lutheran Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Shoreland Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the St. Joseph Lancers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pacers of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Shoreland Lutheran was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-13, 25-22.

Morgan Curcio paced Shoreland Lutheran's offense, picking up 17 kills. Curcio got some help from Hailey Grove and her 16 assists. Haley Moistner controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

St. Joseph found their leader in sophomore Lilli Baez, who had 14 digs and three aces. Lauren Garcia also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Shoreland Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 12-27. As for St. Joseph, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Shoreland Lutheran and Big Foot will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Joseph, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Dominican on the 17th.
