Basketball Game Preview: Grundy Golden Wave vs. Richlands Blue Tornado

Grundy and Richlands are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. Having just played yesterday, the Grundy Golden Wave will head out on the road to face off against the Richlands Blue Tornado at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Grundy will be strutting in after a win while Richlands will be coming in after a loss.

On Wednesday, Grundy earned a 64-52 victory over Ridgeview. That 12 point margin sets a new team best for the Golden Wave this season.

Meanwhile, Richlands had to suffer through a 70-42 loss at the hands of Twin Springs.

The win made it two in a row for Grundy and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Richlands, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Grundy didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Richlands in their previous matchup last Monday, but they still walked away with a 79-75 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Grundy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
