Baseball Game Preview: Nimitz Cougars vs. Eisenhower Eagles

For the second straight game, Nimitz will face off against Eisenhower. The Cougars will venture away from home to challenge the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, Nimitz earned a 7-2 win over Eisenhower.

Juan Arana spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Nimitz is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 4-11 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Andrew Curtis was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. Anthony Campos was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Nimitz's victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Eisenhower, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-13.
