Basketball Recap: Eno River Bobcats vs. Excelsior Classical Academy Flying Lions
In what's become a running theme this season, the Eno River Bobcats gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They really took it to Excelsior Classical Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 46-2 win on the road. With Eno River ahead 30-2 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
It was another big night for Madison Hobbs, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sadie Olson, who scored eight points.
Eno River is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Excelsior Classical Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eno River will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. Roxboro Community and the Bobcats are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads. As for Excelsior Classical Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against the Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
