Volleyball Recap: Airport Takes a Loss

Airport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the North Augusta Yellow Jackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellow Jackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Airport was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-10, 25-22.

Airport's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for North Augusta, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-15 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Airport is set to challenge their familiar foe Gilbert at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, North Augusta will square off against rival Brookland-Cayce at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
