Volleyball Recap: Brevard HEAT Starts Season with Win Against Space Coast

Brevard HEAT gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They put the hurt on the Space Coast Vipers with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Firehawks also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

While Brevard HEAT won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-13, 25-22.

Cambrya Walters paced Brevard HEAT's offense, picking up 15 kills. Walters got some help from Anna Livengood and her 23 assists. Emily Livengood controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Despite the loss, Space Coast still got an impressive performance from Haley Cowling, who had 21 digs and two assists.

Brevard HEAT wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Satellite on the 19th. As for Space Coast, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Melbourne on the 19th.
