Soccer Game Preview: Doherty Memorial vs. Shrewsbury

The Doherty Memorial Highlanders will head out on the road to square off against the Shrewsbury Colonials at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Friday, Doherty Memorial didn't have quite enough to beat Nipmuc Regional and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, neither Shrewsbury nor Acton-Boxborough could gain the upper hand on Saturday so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Doherty Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3-3. With that draw, Shrewsbury's record moves to 1-5-6.

Doherty Memorial couldn't quite get it done against Shrewsbury in their previous matchup back in September of 2019 as they fell 3-1. Can the Highlanders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
