The Marian Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. Their tough 46-25 loss to Gabriel Richard might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Marian in their matchups with the Fighting Irish: they've now lost five in a row.

Despite the defeat, Marian saw an underclassman step up: McKenley Reid scored eight points along with five steals. Reid has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.

Marian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Gabriel Richard, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marian will take on the Arrows at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Ursula Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 535th in Ohio, while the Mustangs are ranked 129th in Michigan). As for Gabriel Richard, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Divine Child is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
