Widefield hadn't done well against Mesa Ridge recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Gladiators had just enough and edged out the Grizzlies 3-2. Widefield's winning goal came courtesy of TK Bromfield.

Widefield's win bumped their record up to 6-7-1. As for Mesa Ridge, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Widefield will challenge Sierra at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Widefield will be up against Sierra's rather soft defense (which has allowed six goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Mesa Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
