Soccer Recap: Mission Bay's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

Mission Bay and Central squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Mission Bay had to settle for second. They came up short against the Central Spartans, falling 3-0. If the Buccaneers were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to them when the teams met back in December of 2017, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mission Bay moved to 14-4 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four matchups. As for Central, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-2.

Mission Bay does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Central, they will challenge Orange Glen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.2 goals per game this season.
