League recap: Rockford winning streak up to 18 games

Ottawa-Kent - Red's longest active winning streak belongs to Rockford (18-0, 12-0), undefeated over its last 18 games. The streak was extended by another three games over the past week, including a 7-3 victory over Grandville and a 7-3 win over Grandville.

Jenison used a 4-2 record over the past week to move from 81 to 52 in the Michigan state rankings.

Grand Haven's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing six hits and two walks to lead the league in both categories. The Buccaneers' pitchers have been charged with only 173 hits and have struck out 124 batters. Mike Ginocchio is tops on the staff with 45 Ks.
