Basketball Game Preview: Cazenovia Lakers vs. Mexico Tigers

The Cazenovia Lakers will take on the Mexico Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Friday, Cazenovia didn't have too much trouble with Cortland as they won 61-45.

Meanwhile, Mexico hadn't done well against Chittenango recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way last Tuesday. Mexico skirted past Chittenango 56-54. While the Tigers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Cazenovia's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-7. As for Mexico, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Cazenovia didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Mexico when the teams last played back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 50-45 win. Will Cazenovia repeat their success, or does Mexico have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
