Basketball Recap: Kopperl Takes a Loss

Kopperl was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Bynum Bulldogs, falling 47-15. Sadly, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 43-18 back in December of 2024.

It was another big night for Madi Westmoreland, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine steals for Bynum. Westmoreland is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last 18 games she's played. Brooklyn Compean was another key player, putting up 13 points and three steals.

Kopperl's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Bynum, they pushed their record up to 15-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Milford the next time they take the court. Bynum will head out to face Milford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Kopperl will host them at 5:00 p.m. on January 28th.
