Baseball Recap: North Hagerstown Gets the Win

North Hagerstown won the last time they faced Williamsport and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Hubs walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Wildcats.

Henry Lewis made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Lewis was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Colt Tucker, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Carter Cunningham was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

North Hagerstown was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

North Hagerstown's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Williamsport, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Looking ahead, North Hagerstown will take on GVCS Broadfording at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Williamsport, they will venture away from home to challenge Hedgesville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
