Softball Recap: Gosnell Takes a Loss

Gosnell lost against Valley View back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Gosnell Pirates fell just short of the Valley View Blazers by a score of 8-6.

Gosnell saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery McHan, who scored a run while going 1-for-4. Cheyanna Trapp was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Gosnell now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Valley View, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gosnell will challenge East Poinsett County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Valley View, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Riverside at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
