Preview: Green Ridge Tigers vs. Sacred Heart Gremlins
Green Ridge is 2-7 against Sacred Heart since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Green Ridge Tigers will be playing at home against the Sacred Heart Gremlins at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Tuesday, Green Ridge beat La Monte 58-47. Given Green Ridge's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 213th, while La Monte is ranked 452nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Sacred Heart stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They put the hurt on North Callaway with a sharp 71-45 win. The win was familiar territory for Sacred Heart who now have three in a row.
Green Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Sacred Heart, their win bumped their record up to 17-5.
Green Ridge came up short against Sacred Heart when the teams last played back in January, falling 57-51. Can Green Ridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
