 Steele put another one in the bag  on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Avon Eagles  a   10-0 shutout. Steele might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six matchups by six  runs or more this season.
  Allie Jackson was a standout: she scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.  Nevaeh Sadler was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 3-for-3.
 Steele pushed their record up to 9-0 with that  victory, which was their seventh straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Avon, they are  on  an  eight-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-8.
 Steele will head out on the road to  square off against  North Ridgeville at 4:45  p.m.  on Wednesday. Both teams have allowed few  runs on average, (North Ridgeville: 3.5, Steele: 3.2) so any  runs scored will be well earned. As for Avon, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Elyria at 4:45  p.m.  on Thursday. Avon is facing Elyria at the right time seeing as Elyria is stuck on  a  three-game losing streak.
