Baseball Game Preview: Ridge Community Bolts vs. Haines City Hornets

The Ridge Community Bolts will challenge the Haines City Hornets at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Ridge Community and seven for Haines City.

Ridge Community came into this matchup off a tough 11-run loss on Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Four Corners by a score of 7-5 on Monday.

Ridge Community got a good showing from Juan Pino, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits Pino has allowed since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Ridge Community saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Deniel Serrano, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-4. That's the most stolen bases Serrano has posted since back in April of 2024. Adrian Cuadrado also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Haines City lost 17-2 to Four Corners on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Hornets have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Haines City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Ridge Community, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Everything went Ridge Community's way against Haines City in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Ridge Community made off with a 28-2 win. Does Ridge Community have another victory up their sleeve, or will Haines City turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
