Johannesburg-Lewiston had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it 13 on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 17-3 margin over the Pellston Hornets. Considering the Cardinals have won 16 matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Brittney Fox was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and one RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Madison Peppin was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Johannesburg-Lewiston's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-3. As for Pellston, they moved to 3-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Johannesburg-Lewiston will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Hornets: the pair will be back at it again later today.
