Basketball Recap: Woodson Takes a Loss

Woodson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Banneker Bulldogs, falling 50-26. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 45-11 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

It was another big night for Rainelle McNeil, who posted 13 points for Banneker. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylee Deskins, who scored seven points.

Woodson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Banneker, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodson will head out to challenge Anacostia at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Banneker, they will venture away from home to square off against Bell at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
