After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northside, Franklin County was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Liberty Christian Bulldogs a 7-0 shutout. Considering the Eagles have won six matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Franklin County's record now sits at 9-3. As for Liberty Christian, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin County will square off against Northside at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Liberty Christian, they will challenge Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs are facing the Pioneers at the right time seeing as the Pioneers are stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
