Soccer Game Preview: Jamestown vs. Monacan

The Jamestown Eagles will face off against the Monacan Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jamestown is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.

Jamestown is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They never let Warhill get on the board and left with a 1-0 win.

Meanwhile, after a string of eight wins, Monacan's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Atlee by a score of 1-0. The shutout was out of character for Monacan seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.

Monacan's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5-1. As for Jamestown, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3-1.

Jamestown came out on top in a nail-biter against Monacan in their previous matchup back in June of 2019, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Chiefs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
