Evergreen Valley barely beat Independence the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cougars put the hurt on the 76ers with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the 76ers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

While Evergreen Valley won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-10, 29-27.

The victory got Evergreen Valley back to even at 8-8. As for Independence, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18.
