Basketball Game Preview: Sibley East Wolverines vs. Maple River Eagles

After both having extra time off, the Sibley East Wolverines and the Maple River Eagles will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court one another at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Sibley East has given up an average of 54.5 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Sibley East heads in on the heels of a playoff game back in February. They lost 60-40 to Waterville-Elysian-Morristown. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Maple River's good fortune finally ran out back in February. They took a 64-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Clair.

Sibley East's loss dropped their record down to 10-17. As for Maple River, their defeat dropped their record down to 24-22.

Sibley East came up short against Maple River when the teams last played back in February, falling 66-56. Can Sibley East avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
