Baseball Recap: Randolph County Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Randolph County can now relate to. They fell just short of the Vinemont Eagles by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 7-4.

Randolph County's loss dropped their record down to 9-20. As for Vinemont, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-9 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Randolph County beat Vinemont by a score of 7-4 later that day.
