Warren and Downey are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Bears will welcome the Vikings at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Warren's offense. They lost 6-0 to La Mirada on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bears have suffered since March 31st.

Downey came out on top against Lakewood on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run sixth inning. The Vikings won by a run and slipped past the Lancers 7-6. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Lancers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Leilani Kaiwi Gonzales, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Hayden Hinchman was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Downey's win bumped their record up to 19-8. As for Warren, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-10.

Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Warren hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .325. However, it's not like Downey struggles in that department as they've averaged .364. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Everything went Warren's way against Downey in their previous meeting back in April, as Warren made off with a 7-0 victory. Do the Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
