Volleyball Game Preview: Taravella Trojans vs. Nova Titans

After both having extra time off, the Taravella Trojans and the Nova Titans will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Taravella took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Coral Glades by a score of 3-1.

Taravella had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-21, 25-13, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Nova beat Everglades 3-1 on Wednesday.

The victory didn't come easy: Everglades scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-23, 24-26, 25-19.

Nova's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Taravella, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Taravella skirted past Nova 3-2 in their previous meeting last Thursday. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
