Volleyball Recap: Jackson Heights Gets the Win

Jackson Heights won the last time they faced Oskaloosa and things went their way on Thursday too. The Cobras came out on top against the Bears by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cobras.

Jackson Heights easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-19.

Their offense was headlined by Brynn Shupe and Chesnea Cochren, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Madi Bacon and her 19 assists. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Layla Cochran, each putting up two.

The victory got Jackson Heights back to even at 15-15. As for Oskaloosa, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-16-5.

Coincidentally, Jackson Heights and Oskaloosa will both be playing Horton the next time they take the court. The Bears will host the Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Cobras will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
