Basketball Recap: Union Hill Comes Up Short

Union Hill and Perrin-Whitt squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Union Hill had to settle for second. They had to suffer through an 87-48 loss at the hands of the Perrin-Whitt Pirates. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 62-27.

Despite the loss, Union Hill saw an underclassman step up: sophomore EJ Mowery almost dropped a double-double with 28 points and nine boards. Mowery's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 20 points.

Union Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Perrin-Whitt, they pushed their record up to 30-5 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.

Union Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Perrin-Whitt, they will face off against May at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Perrin-Whitt has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 241 points over their last three matchups.
