It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lewis County had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 63-39 margin over the Hampshire Trojans. The Minutemen have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Payten Goodwin was her usual excellent self, going 5-for-7 to rack up 13 points and seven steals. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in field goal percentage (71%). Another player making a difference was Adaleigh Curry, who shot 43% from the field en route to 13 points and eight rebounds.

The victory was the seventh in a row for Lewis County, bringing their record for this year to 15-8. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37.3 points. As for Hampshire, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.

Lewis County will square off against Nitro at 7:15 a.m. on Tuesday. Nitro is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.9 points per game this season. Hampshire does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
