Softball Recap: Polk County Comes Up Short

Polk County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 10-3 to the Volunteer Falcons.

Polk County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mallie Evans, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Polk County now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Volunteer, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-8.

Polk County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 4-3 loss against Union County on the 18th. As for Volunteer, they will venture away from home to square off against Cherokee at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
