Softball Game Preview: Mauston Golden Eagles vs. Wisconsin Dells Chiefs

Mauston is on a six-game streak of home losses, and Wisconsin Dells a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Mauston Golden Eagles will look to defend their home field against the Wisconsin Dells Chiefs at 5:00 p.m. Mauston has given up an average of 21.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Friday just wasn't the day for Mauston's offense. They lost 15-0 to Richland Center on Friday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wisconsin Dells). Everything went their way against Nekoosa on Thursday as they made off with a 15-3 win. The victory continues a trend for the Chiefs in their matchups with the Papermakers: they've now won seven in a row.

Mauston's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Wisconsin Dells, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
