Soccer Recap: Sumter Comes Up Short at Home Against Wilson Hall

Sumter unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Wilson Hall Barons by a score of 2-1 on Monday. The Gamecocks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Barons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2020.

Looking ahead, Sumter will challenge Lakewood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wilson Hall, they will square off against Heathwood Hall Episcopal at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
