Preview: Penns Grove Red Devils vs. Lower Cape May Tigers
The Penns Grove Red Devils will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Lower Cape May Tigers at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Penns Grove focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Penns Grove came up short against Cherokee and fell 45-38. While losing is never fun, Penns Grove can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 276th, while Cherokee is ranked 137th).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Giomar Conrad, who scored ten points. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Ka'Ron Ceaser was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Lower Cape May waltzed into their game Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They secured a 57-52 W over Wildwood.
Penns Grove now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Lower Cape May, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
