Basketball Recap: Winston Takes a Loss

Winston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 41-26 to the Newtown-Harris Tigers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Red Birds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2019.

Winston's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Newtown-Harris, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Winston wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 41-26 loss against Grundy County/Newtown-Harris on the 7th. Newtown-Harris does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
