After a string of six wins, Hercules's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Head-Royce Jayhawks by a score of 5-3.

Hercules saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samaya De Alba, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Hercules' loss dropped their record down to 8-3-1. As for Head-Royce, they moved to 2-5 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hercules will square off against El Cerrito at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Gauchos will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Titans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Head-Royce, they will take on Saint Mary's at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Jayhawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
