Basketball Recap: Karnes City Takes a Loss

Karnes City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 67-42 to the Poth Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 74-42 back in January.

Despite the loss, Karnes City still got an impressive performance from Rodrick Vasquez, who went 7-for-15 en route to 17 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Troy Currie, who posted five points and five boards.

Even though they lost, Karnes City smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.

Karnes City's loss dropped their record down to 15-17. As for Poth, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 18-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Karnes City nor Poth have any future games scheduled.
