Football Recap: Hurricane Comes Up Short

Hurricane and Spring Mills squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Hurricane had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Spring Mills Cardinals, falling 49-7. Having soared to a lofty 57 points in the game before, the Redskins couldn't push the score so high this time.

When it comes to explaining why Hurricane lost, don't look at Kylan Grace. Despite the final result, he picked up 75 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 50 yards. Grace really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 75 yards. Tyshawn Dues also helped out with an impressive 87 receiving yards.

Hurricane's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4. As for Spring Mills, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Hurricane does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Spring Mills has also already played their next matchup, a 24-17 defeat against Martinsburg on the 14th.
