Softball Recap: St. Joseph Cadets vs. North Haven Nighthawks
St. Joseph took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Saturday. They skirted past the North Haven Nighthawks 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cadets have posted since April 29, 2024.
Not much got past Katie Dzialo, who gave up just a hit and racked up 15 Ks to keep North Haven off the board.
At the plate, St. Joseph saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was MacKenzie Caouette, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
St. Joseph hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Haven struck out 15 times.
St. Joseph didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 4-1 win against Ludlowe on the 9th. As for North Haven, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-6 defeat against Law on the 9th.
