Volleyball Recap: Lomira Takes a Loss

Lomira was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the St. Mary's Springs Ledgers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ledgers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on October 2nd.

The final score came out to 25-14, 24-26, 25-22, 25-19.

Rachel Chervenka paced Lomira's offense, picking up nine kills. Chervenka got some help from Olivia Marshall and her 12 assists. Marshall was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Lomira's loss dropped their record down to 6-21. As for St. Mary's Springs, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-18 record this season.

Lomira does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Mary's Springs, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Laconia on the 23rd.
