Baseball Recap: Muncie Central Comes Up Short

Muncie Central lost against Mt. Vernon on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bearcats came up short against the Marauders, falling 18-1. The Bearcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Muncie Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Shelley, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Muncie Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Mt. Vernon, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Coming up, Muncie Central will welcome Jay County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mt. Vernon, they will venture away from home to face off against Hamilton Southeastern at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
