This season hasn't been kind to the Horse Creek Academy Stallions, who are still winless after their fifth match. They took a 55-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pelion. Horse Creek Academy has not had much luck with Pelion recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pelion to victory, but perhaps none more so than Raleigh Skipper, who scored 7 points along with 3 steals. Kalani Tolen was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with 7 assists and 5 steals.
Horse Creek Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Pelion, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Horse Creek Academy will be playing at home against Wagener-Salley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Wagener-Salley is ranked 218th, while Horse Creek Academy is ranked 220th). As for Pelion, they will head out on the road to face off against Gilbert at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Gilbert focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Tuesday.
