Softball Recap: Heartland Christian Takes a Loss

If Heartland Christian was riding high fresh off their 21-1 takedown of Catholic Central last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions came up short against the United Golden Eagles on Tuesday, falling 18-1. The match marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Heartland Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rachel Reynolds, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Heartland Christian now has a losing record of 2-3. As for United, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heartland Christian will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Toronto at 5:00 p.m. on the 28th. As for United, they will face off against East Palestine at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
