Baseball Recap: West Salem Comes Up Short

West Salem was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Willamette Wolverines. That's two games in a row now that the Titans have lost by just one run.

West Salem's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Willamette, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Salem will head out to challenge South Salem at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Saxons will roll in looking for their 20th straight win, something the Titans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Willamette, they will head out on the road to square off against South Medford at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
