Basketball Recap: Hibbing Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Hibbing, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They snuck past the Pierz Pioneers with an 83-79 win on Thursday. Given the Bluejackets' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Pioneers are ranked 255th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hibbing's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.8 points over those games. As for Pierz, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-11.
