 There's no place like home for West Greene, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road  on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  6-4  victory over the Jefferson-Morgan Rockets  on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for West Greene, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
  Payton Gilbert made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   five  hits. Gilbert was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Gilbert wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Emmaline Beazell, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-4.
 West Greene's win was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 7-4. As for Jefferson-Morgan, they now  have a losing record at 4-5.
 West Greene will head out on the road to  face off against  Chartiers-Houston at 4:15  p.m.  on Thursday. Chartiers-Houston will roll in looking for their  seventh straight  victory, something West Greene surely won't give up without a fight. As for Jefferson-Morgan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mapletown at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
