Volleyball Recap: Rock Creek Academy Comes Up Short

Rock Creek Academy lost against Austin back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lions lost 3-0 to the Eagles. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-21, 25-13.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Austin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Danielle Nay, who had 13 digs and five aces. Those five aces gave Nay a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Mosley, who had 12 kills, nine digs, and one block.

Rock Creek Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Austin, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

After both having extra time off, Rock Creek Academy and Jeffersonville will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Austin, they will head out on the road to face off against Salem at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
