Salisbury is 7-1 against South Rowan since August of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Hornets will look to defend their home field against the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Salisbury and four for South Rowan.

Salisbury is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Northwest Cabarrus on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Hornets were dealt a 44-14 loss at the hands of the Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 213th, while the Trojans are ranked 64th).

Although Salisbury took the loss, they still got scores from Darrius Jefferies and Isaiah Foxx.

Meanwhile, South Rowan fell victim to Jay M. Robinson and their airtight defense on Friday. They were outmatched by the Bulldogs and fell 42-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Raiders were not able to get on the board.

South Rowan now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Salisbury, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Everything came up roses for Salisbury against South Rowan when the teams last played back in September of 2022, as the squad secured a 41-0 win. Will the Hornets repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
