Baseball Recap: Imlay City Find Success

Imlay City was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Genesee Christian on Thursday. The Spartans put the hurt on the Soldiers with a sharp 14-2 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Spartans considering their one-run performance the contest before.

The team relied heavily on Vincent Guerin, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles, four RBI, and two runs. Those RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season. Sam Edson was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Imlay City always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .621. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
