Miller lost against Sarcoxie back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cardinals fell 28-22 to the Bears. The Cardinals' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Miller's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaylen Madsen, who rushed for 136 yards, and also threw for 46 yards and two TDs. Paul Nunez was another key player, gaining 40 total yards and two touchdowns.

Miller's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Sarcoxie, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Miller is set to challenge their familiar foe Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Sarcoxie will face off against rival Marionville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
